Following Melody from the musical comedy cats and the Godfather from the enormous movie, the Maison exposed the limited edition Opera Scarface watch that takes on the 1983 cult classic gangster movie with “Tonys Theme”.
The 49mm case of the Jacob & Co opera Scarface is available in both 18k rose gold and black DLC-coated titanium versions.The 23-mm thick key skeletonized case shows the dial and movement that can be admired from nearly any angle via a multi-part sapphire crystal. The oversize rose gold violin shaped crown at three o clock quickly catches the focus. In addition to managing winding features, the neck of this violin specs the two o clock pusher used to activate the Opera Scarface music box complication.
Based on the same standard as its predecessors, the music box plays 120 notes at a basic push of the two o clock push button, with the full dial rotating 120 degrees beneath the anti-reflective sapphire crystal except for the time show. Beneath the right-hand comb is placed the title of the 1983 movie and the effigy of Tony Montana. Enthroned at the heart of this timepiece is the eighteen carat pink gold globe bearing the inscription. The World is yours, featured in the lobby of the key protagonist Miami mansion.
Finished with a black classic alligator leather strap, mounted on a case matching folding clasp deployant, the Opera Scarface watch is restricted to 2 88-piece series in 18K gold and black DLC-coated titanium respectively. The movement specs a tourbillion that turns in twenty-four seconds on 1 axis, 8 seconds on the second and seventy-two seconds on the third.
