Time waits for no one. Yet, you can push things with an outstanding vibe when you carry a new watch! That’s why now you can experience the all-new Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Tantalum Blue Enamel. With the new Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Tantalum Blue Enamel, H. Moser & Cie pushes the frontiers of material innovation and Haute Horology once more. With the end of February, there’s no better opportunity to put a perpetual calendar to the test!
The dial is called Abyss Blue fumé “Grand Feu” enamel by Moser, and it’s similar to a similar green dial released in their Endeavour collection last year. It has Moser’s signature fumé effect, in which the dial darkens around the perimeter compared to the bright blue tones in the center, achieved through the use of four different blue pigments.
Each dial is fired twelve times, and no two are the same. Moser has left the dial mostly sterile in order to maximize its impact. It lacks the Moser wordmark and only has hour markers at 12:00 and 6:00. .
This new watch has the same small triangular shape of a hand in the centre to indicate the months, a date window at 3 o’clock, a power reserve at 9 o’clock, and tiny seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The second dial has become barely noticeable, with the hand pared down far more, as well as the index ring eliminated completely.
The piece is completed with the “Flash Calendar” feature, which provides an immediate date change at midnight, and a power reserve indication at 9 o’clock. It displays the movement’s seven days of autonomy. The time and date may be easily adjusted using the crown as well as altered at any time of day. The item houses the classic HMC 800 perpetual calendar from the Manufacture.
The Endeavour case is Moser’s dressiest contemporary case style at the moment, with softer lines than the Streamliner and Pioneer. The case diameter is 42mm and the height is 13.1mm, so while we don’t have traditional dress watch proportions, the case style is certainly more formal than Moser’s other, slightly sportier, offerings, and the complication and dial lend it an additional heir of refinement.
Overall, it’s an impressive package, combining a fantastic movement with a stunning dial and a new case material that feels more than just an iterative update.
