Sama, the first luxury yacht from Aman Resorts, will be introduced soon. The all-suite Sama will sail the Arabian Sea, providing guests with an up-close and personal experience of some of the world’s most underrated coastlines, as inspired by Aman’s eastern heritage and design philosophy. This is a vacation you won’t soon forget, thanks to the sumptuous accommodations, first-rate services, and exciting shore excursions.
Aman and Cruise Saudi, the leading company in the Saudi Arabian cruise industry, have partnered to bring you Sama in 2025. With this brand-new luxury yacht, visitors to Saudi Arabia can cruise the Arabian Gulf in style and comfort. Aman hopes to build a utopian community in the middle of the Arabian Sea called Sama, which means “tranquility” in Sanskrit.
Aman’s first motor yacht will be 183 meters (600 feet) long and have 50 spacious suites, each with a private balcony. The yacht will represent all that is private, spacious, and service-oriented that Aman is known for.
The yacht will include the indispensable Aman Spa with a Japanese garden, as well as two helipads and a Beach Club with casual all-day dining, international dining options, a club and lounge, and more. This superyacht will have all the amenities of a floating five-star resort. SINOT Yacht Architecture & Design, one of the world’s finest yacht design firms, will be designing Project Sama, which will usher in a new era of water exploration by luxury yachts.
In addition to its hotel chain, Aman also runs the 52-meter two-masted Phinisi Amandira in the Flores Sea to explore the Raja Ampat region of the Indonesian archipelago. There are a total of five cabins on board the sail and motor powered phinisi, and the crew of 14 includes a private chef, waiter, and massage therapist.
Amanikan (now Mahodaya) is a 32-meter traditional yacht that was previously operated by Aman in Indonesia. It featured three cabins and a crew of ten, including a cruise director, a chef, and a dive guide. Amanikan, a yacht built in 2009, had a draft of 2.1 meters, a cruise speed of 8 knots, and was ideal for exploring the inlets and harbors of the Indonesian Archipelago.
