Alfa Romeo has unveiled its latest flagship model, the 33 Stradale, which pays homage to the brand’s past while embracing the future. This limited-edition supercar draws inspiration from one of Alfa Romeo’s most beloved vehicles from the late 1960s, but offers the option of an all-electric powertrain.
Named after the original 1-of-18 sports car, the new 33 Stradale boasts a distinctive design that builds upon the bold exterior of its predecessor. Alfa Romeo, in collaboration with Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, has amplified the car’s flowing lines, enlarged its fenders and aero elements, and added butterfly doors and dramatic lighting.
Inside the cabin, the latest Alfa Romeo takes a minimalist approach compared to other supercars on the market. The focus is on essential features, with a digital display integrated into the driver’s cockpit and a control panel on the center console. The control panel includes physical buttons and levers for engaging the launch control system and selecting between the street-legal Strada and track-centric Pista driving modes.
Beyond its name and shape, the new 33 Stradale shares a mid-engined layout with its predecessor. It also offers a choice between a gas or battery-electric powertrain. The gas option features a twin-turbocharged 3. -liter V-6 engine, producing 620 horsepower, and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The electric option, on the other hand, utilizes three motors that generate 750 horsepower. The electric version has a driving range of 240 miles and both versions can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in under three seconds, with a top speed of 207 mph.
Alfa Romeo plans to produce only 33 examples of the reborn 33 Stradale, all of which have already been allocated to buyers. Although the price has not been disclosed, it is expected to be in the seven-figure range.
