Rihanna has listed her 40th-floor penthouse in Century City for sale at a price of $24.95 million, just one year after purchasing it for $21 million.
Robyn Rihanna Fenty, a billionaire businesswoman from Barbados, has recently put up for sale her penthouse located near the uppermost part of The Century at 1 West Century Drive. This information was reported by Mansion Global and the Robb Report.
Rihanna acquired the condominium by means of a trust in March of last year for a sum of $21 million. The seller, acting through a trust, was Nick Molnar, the billionaire co-founder of the technology company Afterpay, who initially aimed to obtain $28 million. The individual had purchased the pad from Matthew Perry in the year 2021 for a sum of $21.6 million. The late “Friends” star, who passed away in October at the age of 54, acquired the property in 2017 for a sum of $20 million.
Over the course of his four-year ownership, Perry renovated it in collaboration with architect Scott Joyce and interior designer L.M. Pagano. The penthouse is a luxurious residence with four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It features large windows that stretch from the floor to the ceiling, offering panoramic views of the Los Angeles skyline.
An exclusive elevator provides direct access to the entrance of the condominium. The dining room is connected to the hardwood floors, and it is accompanied by an all-white kitchen that features marble countertops, dual islands, and high-quality appliances.
The condominium features a movie theater that is soundproofed and furnished with velour couches. Additionally, it includes a master suite that is equipped with a curved bedroom, two closets, two bathrooms, and a private lounge.
The most notable attributes of this property are its four distinct outdoor terraces, positioned to the north, south, east, and west, offering sweeping vistas of the Pacific Ocean, Downtown Los Angeles, and Mount Baldy.
The Century is home to notable residents such as Denzel Washington and reality TV personalities Terry and Heather Dubrow. Candy Spelling occupies a renowned two-floor penthouse located directly above Rihanna’s residence on the 41st and 42nd floors of the building.
The oval highrise, completed in 2010 and designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, is a prominent feature of the Century City skyline, covering an area of 4 acres.
Rihanna’s penthouse has a monthly HOA fee of $8,814. This fee covers the cost of four parking spaces in the underground garage, round-the-clock concierge and security services, access to an outdoor swimming pool and gardens, on-site storage facilities, an in-house restaurant, and conference rooms.
Forbes reports that the singer of the popular song “We Found Love” is currently the wealthiest female musician in the world, possessing a net worth of $1.4 billion.
